HISTORY
There is an ancient history related to the Pomezia Hotel, which begins in 55 B.C., when the Consul Pompeo made the first stonework theatre of Rome build. In the underground sites of the noble palace, where the Hotel is situated today, you can still see the arches of the Pompeo theatre. It was a structure of big dimensions that extended until the Largo Argentina area. Here, the Senate sessions took place and maybe Giulio Cesare had been stabbed.
Nowadays the Pomezia Hotel is managed by the Mariani family, which has been leading a family activity since 1925. Mariano Mariani, the actual owners’ grandfather, opened the hotel. Every morning you can find the three brothers, Maurizio, Claudio and Riccardo, at the reception; they will try to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable, as they have been doing for almost a century.
